TGIF / 33

Last weekend I attended DC's National Book Festival with two of my bestest gal pals. Whilst I was super excited to be there and picked up some really cool swag, it was a bit unfortunate that a lot of the authors I wanted to see (Jonathan Maebry, Rick Yancey, et. al.) canceled. Plus, later in the day, we had the rain to contend with. But that's the thing about having good girlfriends---we still managed to make the most of our time there by laying in the grass and exploring the National Monuments. There's always a silver lining, eh? Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. It was great just spending time with good friends. I actually went to the Baltimore Book Festival last weekend and though big-named authors aren't really the draw, it was a ton of fun!

And yeah, I thought of you with that King link!

  2. Sorry those authors you were looking forward to were not there, but it still sounds like you had a fun time!

YES to the Divergent posters. Why must we wait so long? Oh and the Dr. Seuss Jurassic Park is hilarious. :)

    1. It was kind of a bummer but we made the most of our time. And the Baltimore Book Festival more than made up for it!

  3. That banned books list is interesting! I'm listening to Terabithia right now (I think I read it as a child, too) and I had no idea Louise Rennison's books would be on the list!

Shame the authors you wanted to see cancelled :(
