TGIF / 27

Many apologies, friends, for the lack of posting and commenting. I'm being a bad friend, I know. Ever since my work decided to block just about every other website known to man, it's been difficult for me to keep up with it all on a regular basis. I promise I'll try to get better at managing my time and being a better friend. Now on to happier things like fun web links and boozy weekends!

  1. I thought the information about those authors were more funny than anything else. Authors can be a little crazy. I'm sad Louisa May Alcott was all about the money and drugs and not about her stories, but I love Little Women anyway.

Those posters and stills for Catching Fire have me drooling. I can't believe we still have several months to wait!

Sharknado looks really stupid. My husband wants to watch it just to see how bad it really is, but I think I'm going to pass. I love when I see a few people critiquing the move on facebook/twitter, I wanted to tell them that obviously it wasn't made to be an Oscar nominated movie and you knew what you were getting into before watching it so please stop complaining.

    1. Yeah, it's interesting to hear another side of these authors other than what we typically imagine. It doesn't usually affect how I feel about their stories though. Usually being the operative word there...

So they've just released the official full-length trailer to Catching Fire at Comic Con and I squealed just a little bit.

Movies like Sharknado are purposefully bad (I'm sort of all about crappy B-list horror films) but it always kills me when people seriously think they're supposed to be good. They really shouldn't complain. Movies like this are meant to poke fun at the genre and I view them more as comedy than horror.

    Happy weekend!

    1. I think everyone was shocked about that one (and apparently Rowling was pretty peeved about the reveal too)...
