Authors can go in so many directions, plotwise and, well, space-wise, with that particular setting. ...Villainous Lairs! Hahah, that made me chuckle :P

Also Ancient Greece! Ah! Alexander the Great! Grabby hands. Ancient Greece is the shizzle isn't it? (I can't believe I just said that). I also have a thing for Ancient Egypt myself - there's just something so mystic about the both of them. And also the fact that there was a great wealth of knowledge being discovered then. Must've been exciting times to be living in. And perhaps a little terrifying.

NEVERLAND!! Ahh, I use to wish so hard that I could fly off to there and never have to grow up and deal with all the boring stuff I'm dealing with now. Seriously that story has my heart. I love everything about it, but of course there's that darkness and everything underneath. Despite that I still want to be there. My sister and I use to place dried leaves by our windowsill and then next morning act all astonished and pretend that Peter Pan had been there. So sad. Consider it a done deal, ladies!

Ya know, I saw the movie and wasn't that impressed but I don't usually put much stock in movie incarnations of books. I actually bought my brother the first few books in the series for Christmas, so I'll definitely have to borrow them when he's done.Nikkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15825578716168335522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866711598170215077.post-24448382724400271072013-01-23T12:40:55.790-05:002013-01-23T12:40:55.790-05:00Spain will always have a special place in my heart...Spain will always have a special place in my heart, Naida. I will watch it ASAP just because I trust your opinion.

LOST! I'm still not over it. I honestly don't know if I ever will be, though.

Ooooh, old school NYC is great! What a great book.

It's not ancient Greece...or even Greece really, for that matter...but you should check out Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series. There's a couple off-shoots from it, but you should start with Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Lots of mythology mixed into modern times. Great stuff.

Here's my TTT for the week. I used to read Star Trek Voyager books many moons ago, that was my fav Star Trek. That and Enterprise.
Yes to Tuscany, Italy. Have you seen Under the Tuscan Sun? That's on my top 10 fav romance films. It's a book too, but I haven't read it yet.
Don't get me started on LOST. I actually watch re-runs on cable now that they have them available. I *heart* Jack all the way. IMO the smoke monster explanation was whack.
I've always enjoyed a nice Venice setting, something about those gondolas that just sweeps me away. I also like Old New York settings, circa Rockefeller/Carnegie era.
Great post!

The Bookwormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10217390642323530030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866711598170215077.post-16238974480854788262013-01-22T18:55:50.724-05:002013-01-22T18:55:50.724-05:00I love how you said The Island from lost, not just...I love how you said The Island from lost, not just any island, I understand you there, never enough answers!

I also would love to see more books in Ancient Greece.

Great list!Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03788568691345783808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8866711598170215077.post-88972143681466939362013-01-22T15:26:36.117-05:002013-01-22T15:26:36.117-05:00Time Travel is not cheating (not just because I sa...Time Travel is not cheating (not just because I said it too!) - it's got SO much potential.
